This new and dynamic group offers its members a place where depression, anxiety and self-esteem is paramount and explored. This is a very friendly and diverse group in which mutual respect and care is in abundance.

Shallow Aqua Fit is a refreshing alternative to traditional aerobics, with minimal impact. This class offers both cardiovascular and muscular gains by using the natural resistance of the water.

Deep Aqua Fit is a low impact effective aerobic workout using water as a support to improve cardiovascular fitness and muscle tone. Suitable for all levels (must confident in deep water).

Meets every other Monday at Moorland House from 2:00PM till 4:00PM.

This group is for people who have an NHS diagnosis of Autism, are awaiting to be assessed or are currently going through an assessment for Autism.

Prior to joining this group, your contact details (preferable email) will be passed to the group facilitator who will contact you to provide more information about the group.  

Please note that you must be able to attend as an individual (this means without a support worker, family member or friend) exceptions may be made for first time attendances

BLGC Connect Club sessions are for young people ages 8-25 who have SEND (Sepcial Educational Need or Disability)

These sessions are a small group so are well suited to those who require more support and include Music - Arts - Media-  Sport and a special sensory room.

This class will be focusing on strength, muscular endurance and fitness conditioning, these classes will help to develop a strong and toned physique. Body conditioning classes let you focus on different muscle groups and make them more defined.

Bolton Black History Group (BBHG). Established in 2021. Over 150 members.

The aims and objectives of the BBHG shall be:

I) To highlight the achievements of people of Black and minority ethnic (BAME) descent throughout history.

ii) To help promote community and social development amongst BAME people in the Bolton area.

iii) To promote confidence in social enterprise amongst the BAME community.

iv) To share the histories of BAME people with the wider community.

v) To work and exchange information with other interested parties and groups, including academic institutions and Trades Unions etc.

vi) To organise courses and events in pursuit of the above, and to raise funds on behalf of the BBHG

Started in Jan 23 in response to the cost of living crisis, the results of our own surveys, and in keeping with the educational objectives, Bolton Black History Group invites everyone in Bolton’s Black, Asian and other minority ethnic community (plus anyone else who would like to join us) to a 3rd Thursday of every month 'get together' KEEP WARM, EAT WELL, MEET NEW FRIENDS & PAY WHAT YOU LIKE at Bolton Socialist Club, 16 Wood Street, Bolton from 12noon-5pm. Enjoy cuisine from around the World. Try our Ukrainian Borscht, Jamaican Curry Goat or Jerk Chicken, Halal, vegan and vegetarian options available. All food served 1.00pm to 3.00pm (subject to availability). Tea, Coffee & other soft drinks available throughout.

• Then October BBHG will be involved in a number of activities to celebrate Black History month.

• 21 Apr 23 - Our trip to see the Bob Marley musical the King of Reggae.

• 9 Jun 23 - Six years on from the horrific Grenfell Tower fire which claimed 72 lives in London, BBHG joined a silent vigil on the Town Hall in Bolton steps holding up pictures of those who lost their lives.

• Trip out 2022 - BBHG visit the Slavery Museum in Liverpool.

Bolton Black History Group was formed in 2020 and looks to promote awareness of Black History and contributions to black history over the years and future events, all members of the community are welcome regardless of race or colour.

We hold a Warm Space event on the Third Thursday of every month 12pm - 5pm - Bolton socialist club,  Wood Street, Bolton BL1 1DP - everyone welcome. It is a free event, donations optional. Come down for some food (usually Caribbean and vegetarian), a brew and chat with friends. Food is served 1.00- 2.30 pm.

We also have music, quizzes and sometimes a guest speaker for various topics we think people might find interesting.

The event is free, but donations are welcome,  we also have dome Bolton Black History Group merchandise.

Bolton Libraries has a Graphic Novel Reading Group which meets on the 4th Saturday at 3.30pm in the Central Library.

We discuss everything about comics, graphic novels and manga from Watchmen to the DMZ.

Join our free and friendly informal book group at Bolton Central Library on the third Thursday of every month at 6.15pm.

Toddler Tales are free storytelling sessions for children under five along with their mums, dads and carers.

Sessions last around 30 minutes to 45 minutes. No need to book.

Call in every Monday or Friday morning for a hot drink and a chat, join in with a game of dominoes or any of our large variety of board games, simply chill out and meet new people in a safe warm environment. We are a registered Warm Space open all year long for you to call in keep warm and have a free drink and a biscuit or two, we even have cake on occasions. No age restriction but any children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.  We offer a warm welcome a safe warm space with free Wi-Fi and refreshments.

No experience necessary. The craft and social group runs every Monday and is a popular group which appeals to all abilities. It is both an art and craft group and a weekly social group, encouraging communication and socialization with other members. The craft group provides a fun way to meet new people and make friends. Come and join us as we create and draw, natter and sketch. We are a relaxed group with no pressure to achieve. We have some budding artists and fledgling modellers.  The group decide the direction and we support with all materials, free refreshments and a safe environment. The 1st Friday of every month 2pm-4pm. Join the Bolton Heart Failure Team at Bolton Hospice Wellbeing Hub for an afternoon of socialising. Open to all patients with Heart Failure and their families/carers.

Refreshments provided.

Think Cre8tive Group CIC is a non-profit social enterprise that provides open-access group sing-along sessions in Bolton towards physical and social health. Sessions are arranged, organised and delivered by a professional healthcare specialist and a professional musician/ educator/researcher to day-time groups - most participants are retired, have restrictive health conditions or living in deprived areas with limited arts access. We hold weekly sessions over 40 weeks of the year in 2 venues, fortnightly sessions over 20 weeks in 2 venues, monthly sessions in 4 venues, and ad hoc sessions and performances in 5 venues throughout the year. In addition, we create and deliver daily and monthly online sessions (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok). 

Library sessions are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month.

We support young adults with neurodiverse needs and disabilities aged between 18 and 40 to build upon their independence skills and life skills whilst having lots of fun along the way.

We provide an environment where they feel valued and listened to and where they feel safe to embrace the opportunities around them. We encourage community interaction, developing friendships and improving communication skills. Our working days run Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.30am til 4pm. We charge £78.00 per day, although there is often funding available for young adults to attend Sapphire.

Would you like to be more active at the weekend? No where to go? No one to see? Then why not attend the Member’s Saturday Social Group that is open to members of MhIST.

The group will run every Saturday afternoon at Moorland House for three hours. The group often goes out and activites such as walks, museum visits, arts & crafts and wetherspoons bottomless coffee often take place.

Getting together every Tuesday evening at 6:30pm and on Fridays through the Spring and Summer, they involve older Deaf people in darts, dominoes and snooker all year round and Crown Green Bowls during the summer, playing for fun and in competitive Deaf competitions organised on a periodic and regional basis.

Volunteer-led, it also operates a licensed social bar and all engaged with its operations received training.

This is a general Hatha yoga practice. Suitable for all levels no pressure work to own ability. Benefits from regular practice increased flexibility, muscle strength, improves posture, protects spine bone health, improves circulation, boosts immunity, well- being and peace of mind.
