Bolton Night Run
Bolton's fabulous Night Run has something for all ages and abilities.
Bolton Night Run
Whether you are a seasoned athlete, a steady jogger, new to running or prefer to walk, you can choose from the 5k or 10k route to suit your ability and goals.
It's fun and friendly, with great support along the town centre route and a fabulous finish in front of the town hall on the famous Ironman red carpet.
Walk the 5k
Bolton Wanderers in the Community (BWitC) is making it easy for people to join the fun of this year's Night Run by walking the 5k route.
Walking is great exercise and benefits our overall wellbeing and physical and mental health. Plus, it's a great way to meet new people.
The walkers will be led by staff from BWitC, who will also be completing the route and encouraging others to do so.
All you need to do is sign up, lace up your trainers and meet on the starting line (look for the people in BWitC t-shirts).
To join BWitC's Walk and Talk group, email jbarnes@bwitc.org.uk.
Use Night Run as your goal
Signing up for Night Run is an ideal way to get healthier and stay motivated in a supportive and enjoyable way by having something to aim for.
If you are new to running, a Couch to 5k programme could be perfect for you.
Couch to 5k is a friendly and fun way to get exercising that's proven to work. It starts slowly and builds your fitness with achievable goals.
Search the app store on your mobile phone or find out more on the NHS Couch to 5k page.
Run for fun
Lots of people join Night Run for the experience and to enjoy the atmosphere through the streets of the town centre. Why not run in fancy dress?
Experienced runners
Night Run has a 10k as well as a 5k course and runners receive their official time on both routes.
This means you can use Night Run as part of your training schedule or as a chance to post a new personal best. Either way, you'll enjoy the support of the crowds along the route.
Hundreds of people have already signed up for the 10k, so why not join them?
