IRONKIDS Bolton 2026 – be part of the BIGGEST IRONKIDS in the world

Since it started 15 years ago, almost 50,000 children have taken part in Bolton’s IRONKIDS and it’s still the biggest and best in the world.

Every year, children love the chance to run through the town centre for an epic finish along the red carpet in Victoria Square as the crowd cheers.

This June as many as 6,000 children and young people aged three to 15 will take on the challenge of running 500m, 1000m or 1500m.

The roads will be closed to make them safe and traffic-free for young ones, and there’s a t-shirt and medal for every finisher to help them remember the day.

IRONKIDS Bolton is a great way to encourage children to get fit and active, with some children even going on to take part in Bolton’s incredible IRONMAN event, swimming, running and cycling 70.3 miles.

Plus, there’s plenty on offer to make IRONKIDS a great day out, with activities and entertainment like face painting, crafts and a climbing wall in Elizabeth Park.
