IRONKIDS Bolton – part of growing up in Bolton

Saturday, 7 June, Bolton town centre

Over 42,000 children have taken part in Bolton’s IRONKIDS since it started 14 years ago and it’s still the biggest and best in the world.

Children love the chance to be part of Bolton’s famous IRONMAN 70.3 weekend, running through the town centre for an epic finish along the red carpet in Victoria Square as the crowd cheers.

This year as many as 6,000 children and young people aged three to 15 will take on the challenge of running 500m, 1000m or 1500m.

There’s a t-shirt and medal for every finisher to help them remember the day.

It’s a great way to encourage children to get fit and active, with some children who started out doing IRONKIDS even going on to take part in Bolton’s incredible IRONMAN event, swimming, running and cycling either 140.6 or 70.3 miles.

Plus, there’s plenty on offer to make IRONKIDS a great day out, with kids’ activities and entertainment like face painting, crafts and a climbing wall in Elizabeth Park.
